An outdoor concert/art show is headed to Two Jack this Saturday.
Hear Here Productions, which organized a similar type of show last year at Bankhead, is putting on Two Jack Wish Saturday, July 17 at 4 p.m. at Two Jack Lake.
Hear Here director Erin Donovan has been organizing alternative space concerts for 20 years and this will be her second concert in Banff.
"I feel like the community really embraces local art events so I was really excited about that from last year and definitely wanted to continue with that this year," Donovan said.
The show will be 90 minutes and have an environmental theme that touches on the lore of the area.
Music and dance will be part of the show, as well as some visual art by local artist Jane Newman.
"It's bigger than the Bankhead show and we're taking on bigger chamber pieces," Donovan said, noting they commissioned a musical piece by local Sebastian Hutchings.
This will be a one-day show, but there are plans to bring it back in September and do an expanded version of it for Alberta Arts Days.
The rain date for the show is Sunday, July 18 at 4 p.m. Biking or carpooling to the show is recommended, but there will also be a shuttle available at the overflow camping area at 3:30 p.m.
