Banff's pedestrian bridge has cleared federal approval and construction will start Oct. 11.

On Monday, the town's manager of engineering Adrian Field said Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Transport Canada and Parks Canada had all signed off on the pedestrian/ sewer bridge. The project is on track with schedule estimates, and will be complete in the fall of 2013.
