Good opener for sr. boys volleyball 0
The pre-season opener for BCHS' senior volleyball team has coach Sharon Oakley predicting big things for the future.
The Bears headed to Fort Macleod for a tournament and won three games - despite having only six players, four of whom were rookies.
They battled nine other teams and showed great promise. Oakley said she was very happy with their level of play and considered it a positive sign they'll be a strong team this season once a full roster is attending tournaments.
Leading the team was power hitter Evan Waterhouse followed with great playing at the net by rookies Pearce Eshenko (middle blocker) and Ben Rada (power hitter). Veteran player Koji Seki provided consistency, helping the Bears nab the three wins.
